This bold necklace takes it name from the yearly DanceAfrica festival at BAM. I wanted a design that evoked the power of the dancers I saw. Made with an intricate pattern of red glass beads from Pakistan called "mountain coral," handmade Ethiopian and Ghanaian brass and a decorative Indonesian clasp, this necklace makes a statement.
